Jewish Prison Chaplaincy Victoria strive to bring light in the darkness, whether it is addressing challenges of observing Judaism behind bars, the challenge of having a family member incarcerated, or the challenges that returning to society can bring.

Jewish Prison Chaplaincy program is the only local program that serves Jewish people incarcerated in Victoria to ensure that they stay connected to their families, communities and Jewish heritage. Jewish Prison Chaplaincy programs and services provide, for the religious needs, rehabilitation and humanitarian needs of individuals and their families from the moment of arrest, during the pre-sentencing stage and trial, and throughout their imprisonment. Jewish Prison Chaplaincy helps inmates amend their wrongs, seek forgiveness and have the best possible opportunity to return to society as purposeful, responsible people.
Jewish Prison Chaplaincy addresses the fundamental Torah principle to love every Jew as ourselves. More than anyone else, Jews incarcerated need to know that they are not alone and that someone cares about them
